Do you ever mean to read something but not quite get to it? Reading pods are a great way to help you not only read the whole book but deepen discussion around it and turn the material into something practically useful.
This 8-week group experience is designed to integrate the concepts of modern attachment and relational neuroscience using the critically-acclaimed Secure Relating, Holding Your Own in an Insecure World by Sue Marriott and Ann Kelley.

Group continues weekly through June 29th (Skipping Memorial Day weekend)

Group Details
Understanding our own attachment dynamics is crucial to being effective professionally. This group is for any clinicians, advanced learners, helping professionals and educators who are familiar with the concepts and want to go deeper. All are welcome. This will be an inclusive space to work together across differences.
Together, we'll explore how to integrate key concepts from Secure Relating with our personal style of working. We will use modern attachment and applied neuroscience to deepen the conversation, reflect personally, and engage in practical exercises you can bring into your everyday life. The focus is on building awareness, strengthening your capacity to stay present, and learning how to hold your own relationships without losing connection.

Meet Shawn David
Shawn David is a licensed clinical social worker (licensed in the state of TN) and relationally focused guide who helps individuals deepen self-awareness and build more secure, connected relationships. His work is grounded in attachment theory, nervous system awareness, and experiential learning, with an emphasis on practical tools that can be integrated into everyday life.
Shawn creates spaces that are thoughtful, engaging, accessible - where insight is paired with real-world application. His groups are designed to support reflection, growth, and the practice of new ways or relating in a supportive and conversational environment.
Based in Nashville, Shawn shares life with his dog, Oliver, and enjoys water aerobics, the arts, and curating the perfect playlist for any occasion.

Secure Relating offers an innovative approach to understanding and improving relationships in today's increasingly polarized world. Drawing on over 30 years of professional experience, Ann Kelley, PhD and Sue Marriott LCSW CGP integrate modern attachment theory, applied relational neuroscience, depth psychology and systems that create insecurity. They go deep and wide and yet also prove practical tools for deepening self-awareness and navigating closeness with strength in even the most challenging relationships.
